warhammer back piece by ~optimuspint is an impressive backpiece that shows what dedication can accomplish... the fiery textures and highly detailed figure are superb! (

Incredible work, I like your mecha sketches and all you other pieces, but 2 years and 92 hours of hard work (without planning and pre-sketches included i assume) on one of the hardest canvases to work on really gets my attention. No words in any dictionary can describe how much I love this work, and how good it is.
But... there is one thing about this tattoo... there is an excessive use of blacks and dark tones, which is fine for me, but there has been used so much that it makes me think this tattoo will turn into a dark "stain" within a few years. I love tattoos, I am working on a big piece on my body as well and each time I talk about too detailed things, or too much use of dark tones in a small area of my skin, my artist tells me not to do it. Just for that one reason, the spreading of the color in the skin throughout the years so the design turns into a "stain". Sorry if the word stain is mis placed, but it's the best I can express myself as english isn't my ative language.

I suddenly became strangely inebriated. The external world became changed as in a dream. Objects appeared to gain inrelief, they assumed unusual dimensions and colors became more glowing...
all tattoos spread over time no matter what color you use or technique you use. skin constantly changes, people grow old and even the texture of skin changes. there are things you can do to make a tattoo last longer but there is nothing you can do to stop your tattoo from eventually blurring, fading, spreading etc. my friend here was very gracious in letting me test my skills on his skin and keep in mind that not everyones tattoos act the same, every one has different skin and sometimes you can do something as simple as a heart and a year later it looks spread and faded. There is no "for sure this will look good forever" technique in tattooing. we dont even know how modern ink will last in the long run. I started tattooing in 96' and ink companies come and go so fast that no one really knows how permanent they will be 20 years from now because the companies are not even that old. the one thing you can count on is that over time your tattoo WILL change and if it changes in a way you don't like..go get it touched up ultimately you have to live with what you want and sometimes it requires maintenance. hope this was helpful and always look at your artists portfolio
